Pitcher's Training
Pitchers will go through a progressive throwing program that will help build strength, better development of their pitches, and the capability of "commanding" their fastball. Pitchers will learn that it is not about how hard you throw, but the ability of having complete command of their fastball, and consistancy of off-speed pitches. The program will also emphasize proper warm-ups for both starting and relief pitching, giving them a personalized routine for their season.
Pitchers will be put through a combination of strength training programs. The Crossover Symmetry Program will focus on the shoulder and back and is used by some of the most popular division 1 and MLB organizations for the development of arm strength and stability. Other training methods will consist of core and leg techniques to help increase lower body power.
Pitching strategy will be a main focus throughout the program. This will consist of how to approach a hitter and base-runner. They will learn and work on pick-offs, holding runners (all bases) and fielding their position. Also discussed, will be the advantages of note taking and its benefits in guiding the pitcher in their approach to handeling hitters.
